Mr. Elmer is leading this overnight spring Fishing Merit Badge activity. Come on out, catch some fish, camp overnight, complete requirements for the merit badge. Like to fish, but don't like to eat em? No problem! You can catch and release.
Register now for the Powhatan District Boy Scout Chess Tournament, which will take place on Saturday, February 13 at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Herndon! The tournament is a five-round chess tournament open to all registered Boy Scouts. There will be three competition brackets: age 10-12, age 13-15, and age 16-18. Great communication is incredibly valuable, but can be difficult to achieve. Do you have what it takes to be a good communicator? During this course, you will learn some important aspects of communication and will get to practice your skills. Best of all, you will complete requirements for Communication Merit Badge – required for Eagle. Meetings will take place before our regularly scheduled troop meetings.
In observance of Scout Sabbath, we will participate in Sunday Morning services with the congregants of the Dranesville United Methodist Church -- our sponsoring organization. No matter your religion, reverance is a core scouting value. Please join us in celebrating the scout law's 12th point.
